During this time of quarantine, the word “home” has taken on conflicting meanings. We are seeking the shelter inside our homes for safety, yet we are uncomfortable by the lack of freedom to do the many things we want to do outside, one of those things being human interaction. Oikos are outdoor stools designed to hint at the solitude and absence of their user. The small square opening suggests a window that leads to a "hiding spot.” Stools come in different scales, which represent different houses' personalities.
